Hero ISL table-toppers Mumbai City FC have reached an agreement for the transfer of youngster Nikum Gyamar — the deal is subject to pending medicals and paperworks, we can confirm.

The 18-year-old hails from Arunachal Pradesh and is considered to be a hot prospect for the future.

Nikum burst out into the Indian football scene with his impressive performances for Rajasthan United FC including a famous comeback victory goal against ISL giants ATK Mohun Bagan in the Durand Cup.

He was one of the key players for Rajasthan United FC in the Hero I-League qualifiers and the 2021/22 Hero I-League season. Following a pretty impressive season, he was handed a maiden call-up for the India U-20 national training camp in June last year.

He penned down a four-year deal last year to extend his stay with the desert warriors till 2026.

With the move likely to materialize this transfer window, Indian football fans will be waiting to see the young boy in action at the country’s top-flight football division.
